By Chris Leyton on 16/04/2007

Capcom's Gamers Day event fails to shed any light on Dead Rising 2, Resident Evil 5 or Devil May Cry 4...

Although the Capcom's Gamers Day event failed to shed any further details on Dead Rising 2, as some had suggested, Capcom revealed that it has secured the PlayStation2 license for the MotoGP, along with confirmation of the PC version of Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions, and a number of titles in the not too distant future.

MotoGP '07

Securing the PlayStation rights to the MotoGP franchise from under the nose of Namco-Bandai, Capcom recently confirmed that MotoGP '07 will be making an appearance on the PlayStation2 later in the year.

Commenting on the announcement Mark Beaumont, executive vice president, officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe said: "MotoGP is the most exciting motor sport on the planet and we are really thrilled to be partnering with them. This project clearly demonstrates Capcom's intent to broaden its portfolio to include both original and licensed IP, work with the best developer talent and brands from across the globe to create new exciting gaming experiences. MotoGP is a multi-million unit selling franchise on PlayStation formats and we look forward to taking it to the next level."

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, the exclusive holder of all commercial and TV rights to MotoGP commented: "Capcom's long tradition for innovation and pushing technological boundaries in pursuit of delivering high quality entertainment perfectly matches the core values of the MotoGP brand and we're delighted to be partnering with them."

Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions

Confirming that the PC adaptation of Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions will appear in June, Capcom also announced that the port will feature a range of enhancements over the Xbox 360 version. Featuring improved visuals, including better shadows, more detailed textures and support for higher resolutions, the PC adaptation will also include a new lobby system.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations is the third and concluding chapter in Wright's story. Phoenix faces his toughest opponent yet in the latest instalment in the popular courtroom battle series from Japan, as the mysterious Godot attempts to take him down at any cost.

Capcom has yet to confirm European release dates for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations; however, a leaked US retailer listing suggested the game would be released in September.

Mega Man Star Force

The first Mega Man game to arrive in three versions - Pegasus, Leo and Dragon - Mega Man Star Force is the latest title from the team who created the Mega Man Battle Network series. Promising a blend between RPG exploration and fast-paced battles, players interact with people in the real world and combat opponents in the virtual dimension. Taking place on a 3x5 grid, players must use a range of Battle Cards to emerge victorious.

Set in the year 22XX, Mega Man Star Force introduces a cast of all-new characters, in a storyline that's based around astronomy and wireless wave signals. Assuming the role of Geo Stelar, players must vanquish a new threat that has emerged from the planet FM. Using a unique pair of glasses that let him see invisible wave signals, Geo and his mysterious ally Omega-Xis, must join forces to transform into Mega Man and enter the virtual dimension to defeat the aliens.

Mega Man Star Force will feature Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support, allowing friends to create a 'Brother Band' network to share cards and status upgrades.

Xbox Live Arcade + PlayStation Network

After the success of Street Fighter 2 on Xbox Live Arcade, Capcom displayed their commitment to the network platforms with a range of titles currently in development.

Extending the popularity of one of the biggest videogame franchises in history, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will both be available during the Autumn. Featuring 1080p support and online play, both titles will feature greatly improved artwork courtesy of Udon Entertainment.

Rocketman: Axis of Evil is an arcade shooter that finds players joining the heroes of the Alliance of Free Planets fight to free the Solar System. Up to four players can co-operate to shoot their way through multiple levels, powering up weapons, picking up bonuses and destroying anything in their paths.

Finally, Talisman is based around the popular Games Workshop board game, a fantasy hybrid for up to four players either on- or offline. Scouring dungeons, casting spells, and using weapons, Talisman will appear on the networks during Q4 alongside the 4th Edition of the classic board game.
