This weekend saw Sega’s annual GameJam event held in Japan, a variety of new titles were announced alongside previous titles. <br /> <br /> Sonic Team took the opportunity to talk more about the upcoming Phantasy Star Online for the GameCube. Firstly the title will now be known as Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II. The game will have a new Coast Area and Jungle Area not found in the other versions, as well as several new monsters, include Merillrear (flower type), Merilltass (plant type), Urgibbon (monkey type), Gal Griffon (bird + beast), Gey (bee type) and Gey Goo (queen-bee). <br /> <br /> In addition three new character classes have been introduced to the fold, they are HUcaseal (hunter / ninja with high accuracy and evasion rate), FOmar (mage) and RAmarl (ranger female with very high accuracy). The GameCube version will correspond to ASCII's new GameCube keyboard controller. <br />
