More on this gameUbisoft announce tie-in title with Peter Jackson’s ‘re-imagining’ of the Hollywood classic…
Ubisoft has today confirmed, once again, that they will be publishing the video-game adaptation of Peter Jacksonâs 2005 version of King Kong. Following on from our earlier announcement, the French publisher has also confirmed that the Montpellier studio, creators of Beyond Good & Evil, will develop the game with the assistance of the award-winning Montreal studio.
Discussing the title, Serge Hascoet, Executive Director, Worldwide Content Strategy for Ubisoft said that, "Through this creative association, Ubisoft shows its growing dedication to bringing intense emotions inspired by the movie industry to interactive games. In the King Kong game, players will be able to experience all the power, drama and emotion of the film thanks to the interactive possibilities provided by the game."
And it seems as if Peter Jackson also shares Mr Hascoetâs enthusiasm. Talking about the game, he confirmed that, "I'm really enjoying the collaboration with these artists, and all the creative possibilities we're discoveringâ¦By working closely with the development team, Ubisoft is enabling me to help shape the kind of gaming experience that I will be proud to associate with this new version of King Kong, a story that began my life-long love of film."
With the film not expected until mid-December 2005, expect more news to follow on the gameâs development over the coming monthsâ¦

Yeah, although I bought it and played it, I'm gonna have to go with the movie. This game has to much excess monsters and places to have to go before you can get your damn sugar off that island where t-rex's and fat velociraptors chase you and a giant ape is somewhere in the jungle humping Ann!
