From the creators of Unreal, comes an all-new original title...

Groove Games today officially lifted the lid on ‘Pariah’, an original first-person-shooter from Digital Extremes.

Best known for creating the multi-million unit selling Unreal franchise, Digital Extremes is looking beyond the Unreal universe for the first time and is working hard to raise the bar once again.

Although the announcement has only just come to light, work began on the Xbox and PC title over two years ago; focussing on an immersive storyline that weaves survival elements into the traditional run-and-gun style of gameplay. Utilising the latest version of the Unreal engine, we’re promised that ‘Pariah’ will look the part – as you can tell from these screens alone.

“After seeing Pariah in action and hearing the plans Digital Extremes has for it, we knew we had to be a part of it,” said Jon Walsh, CEO of Groove Games. “Digital Extremes has a tremendous track record for creating incredibly entertaining games, therefore we know how impressive Pariah is going to be when it’s ready to be unleashed on the masses.”

Groove Games will be publishing ‘Pariah’ in America, whilst the game has been licensed to Hip Interactive Europe to distribute and publish the title in Europe, Australia and New Zealand; we’ll have more information soon, but until then make sure to check out the screens.
