Seabass and the PES team looking at what motion controllers can bring to PES...

Seabass and the team at Konami may be nursing the bruises from yet another bout with FIFA, but it seems they have plans to make things a little different next year.

Speaking at the European Championship held in Nice, IGN brings word from Seabass' mouth that PES could soon be featuring support for Project Natal and Sony's Motion Wand.

"Up until 2009 we believed all the platforms should have the same controls and features", Shingo Takatsuka said.  "That's no longer the case, because there are specific controllers for different machines, what with Natal and the PlayStation motion sensor system. I cannot say much, but I can say we are looking at integrating those devices into our games very aggressively."

Although we'll give Seabass credit for looking at the new technology we're not entirely convinced by the idea of juggling virtual balls, you could get yourself a nasty groin strain by kicking wildly into thin air.  Besides what will Sony's Motion Wands bring to the equation - the ability to play as the linesman?

Let us know what you think...

PES is a waste of money!!! I don't need my hand held thru every pass, what I need is for the players, including goalies, NOT to watch the ball trickle past just because their "aggression" isn't right or the "team style" wasn't set By A. Ferguson!!! This idiotic physics engine is like shooting a bullet with another bullet.
