Konami reveals a revamped interface, an all-new youth team feature, and real world currency for the Master League...
This year's PES certainly looks the biz judging by the screens and footage we've seen so far, but Konami isn't limiting itself to aesthetics this year as the publisher has today detailed a range of new features for the game's Master League mode.
It looks like the biggest addition will be a new youth team feature, which allows gamers to develop youngsters by investing in them at a young age and fast-tracking their skills before introducing them into the first team.
Real currency will also feature in the game for the first time and a more detailed financial system will allow gamers to negotiate sponsorship deals, with better results on the pitch culminating in a higher value for your club. Incoming cash can then be re-routed into both your senior and youth squads to enhance player performance.
A revamped interface will split-up the mode's managerial duties into three distinct areas: 'Club House', 'Office', and 'Stadium Walk'. 'Office' is where all the player transfers are handled, 'Club House' encapsulates team tactics, and 'Stadium Walk' houses the main game options.
Seabass outlines the key improvements being introduced in PES 2010...

FIFA SUCKS LIKE A HORSES[#@!?]:)

Someone mentioned if you got football knowledge you would go with pes. Well in the past professional footballers would play pes like me & the rest of those who wanted to play the closest thing to football you could get on a console.
Well let me tell you, footballers are deserting pes in droves in favour of FIFA for that very same reason, unless of course they are called Rio Ferdinand. Rio himself admitted that other players have tried to get him to convert as well, but he is too stubborn & loyal to pes whatever they do.
Wake up and smell the grass pal (or stop smoking it!) whoever said that FIFA is not for the knowledgeable.

As someone who STILL has every PES going back to ISS days I took a lot of convincing to go to Fifa 09, to the point where a mate BOUGHT it for me (out of his own pocket) and forced me to play it with him.
The previous FIFA games were total crap but FIFA-09 stole the crown off PES and made it look pathetic. I hated myself for thinking it but it is true. I could do without the gloss of FIFA but not without the gameplay of PES in the past, but now FIFA has everything and 10 is even better!
I have not looked back since, although I keep hoping that Konami get back in the race as I have fond memories of that series. Unfortunately they have done too little too late so far.
If you really call yourselves football purists then FIFA 10 is it for now, as the gameplay kicks arse (sideways!).
Give FIFA a few games & you like me will be ashamed that you have left Konami but be happy to enjoy a fantastic game of footie once more, and lets face it, that's what counts.

Have to say that having got pes2010 yet again konami are letting the side down with another disspointing effort, don't get fooled by the reviews gameplay is still off. To anyone that doubts it, play 2010 and then play PES6 straight after and the difference in control of the players is night and day.
Annoyingly you can't switch off completely the cursor settings to manual.
I'd like to see the IP addresses for all the positive reviews as i'm sure a good proportion are originating from Konami HQ!

definetly, the shooting is much better in pes 10
Added:Tue 03rd Nov 2009 21:04, Post No: 95
pes this year is better because the shooting opportunities are better and the accuracy is better. Ill admit, the gameplay in fifa is fun, but when it comes to shooting and longballs, it is a disgrace to the modern day football....football today is played by doing longballs and shooting from far out and that is what pes 10 has achieved this year.....

So the general consensus is if you play on PC get PES, but if you play on a console get fifa?

if you want to score the same goals over and over, year after year, then fifa is for you. FIFA is a come home from the pub and have a casual game kind of game, but pes is for real footie fans with real footie knowledge. just because it FIFA has all the licences doesn't mean it's better.
