After extended delays the Xbox version of the military simulator finally goes gold...

Codemasters has today confirmed that Bohemia Interactive’s Operation: Flashpoint Elite has gone gold ahead of a release on October 28th. Set during the Cold War, Elite contains fifteen solo missions and over fifty missions via Xbox Live, as well as allowing players to use authentically modelled vehicles and weapons from the period.

North American gamers can look forward to engaging with the enemy when Operation Flashpoint: Elite is released in the territory on November 8th.
