Namco Stretches Out Katamari Successor News

'Nobi Nobi Boy' unveiled at PlayStation Premiere 2007; Takahashi-san returns with his new title...

Besides unveiling the latest recipients of the PlayStation Awards, PlayStation Premiere 2007 event in Japan has also been the location where Keita Takahashi finally unveiled his successor to Katamari - entitled Nobi Nobi Boy (roughly translated as 'Extends Extends Boy') for PlayStation 3.

Demonstrating the premise with the help of an expandable hose, and not an original controller as some in the audience first suspected, Takahashi's latest creation looks like a green caterpillar with a face that oozes the same visual style of his previous franchise.

Confirmation of the new game came as Namco Bandai again showed off the likes of Time Crisis 4, Soul Calibur IV, and Tekken 6, all heading to PlayStation3 in the future.
