Nintendo has today announced a price drop to their DS portable system from an RRP of £99 to £89 on October 7th. The move comes five weeks after the company lowered the price of the system in North America to $129 (£71) and coincides with the launch date of Nintendogs, which has gone on to become a massive hit in both Japan and across the pond.

At the same time, Nintendo has announced that two DS bundles will be released October 7th: a pink DS with Nintendogs ‘Dachshund & Friends’ and a blue DS with Nintendogs ‘Labrador & Friends’ – the bundles have been priced at £99.
