USB keyboard support added for all of the bloggers that just can't help themselves...
Wii owners that enjoy browsing the web from the comforts of their armchair will have noticed an update to the Internet Channel today, bringing an assortment of improvements and new features.
Writing e-mails, pouring your heart out in a blog, or spilling your spleen on a forum, has been made much simpler with the support for USB keyboards. A new 'Send to a Friend' option allows Wii owners to easily send links to members of their Friend list. The update also includes the standard usability improvements usually expected, alongside the addition of nine more Favourite slots.
"We believe this new version of the Internet Channel is even more engaging and delightful for the users around the world than its predecessor," says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera. "Nintendo has always brought a new perspective, fresh ideas and unwavering enthusiasm to our partnership. And today, our combined efforts have given users more reasons to be excited."

Yeah, apparently Ninty are working on a new console with graphics to match PS3/60, and motion controllers/games are being created by PS3/60, so its all gonna be good in the end eh! :)

Just outputting to HD won't be enough - there will have to be increases to the Wii's GPU and memory to make the visuals look sufficiently better. the Wii HD is just a pipedream invented by an anlyst that doesn't actually get that many things right...
