No more Wii big hitters from Nintendo this year and no MotionPlus for Star Wars: the Clone Wars...
Nintendo has confirmed that hardcore gamers craving for a new game won't see anything this year, despite widespread condemnation from the hardcore audience.
When asked whether Nintendo have revealed all of their cards for 2008 in an interview with Wired.com, Nintendo's ever-charismatic-and-certainly-not-fake Cammie Dunaway claims, "You have seen the extent of Nintendo's 2008 holiday lineup."
Further disappointment comes from the confirmation that LucasArts' Wii/DS exclusive Star Wars: The Clone Wars won't feature support for the MotionPlus peripheral. So accurate lightsaber bouts are out of the window it seems, to which Dunaway is hopeful that a "second version" could possibly feature support.

Yeah, apparently Ninty are working on a new console with graphics to match PS3/60, and motion controllers/games are being created by PS3/60, so its all gonna be good in the end eh! :)

Just outputting to HD won't be enough - there will have to be increases to the Wii's GPU and memory to make the visuals look sufficiently better. the Wii HD is just a pipedream invented by an anlyst that doesn't actually get that many things right...
