Send Virtual Console titles to your friends this Christmas with an update to the Wii Shop Channel...
Wii owners will be able to enjoy the gift of giving this Christmas with confirmation that the Wii Shop Channel has been updated to allow users to send a Virtual Console game or downloadable software to their friends.
Those feeling particularly charitable and well-off with their Wii points can feel the fawning warmth of remembering that it's better to give than receive - or perhaps it's a good idea to take some of the strain out of Christmas shopping. Either way it's a feature that only Nintendo would come up with and we'd suspect others to follow.
In addition an updated version of the Photo Channel has also been made available, which allows Wii users to customise the Photo Channel icon with any picture from their collection. The background music option has also been changed, seeing support for MP3 files replaced with the AAC format.
Both updates are available immediately free of charge.

Yeah, apparently Ninty are working on a new console with graphics to match PS3/60, and motion controllers/games are being created by PS3/60, so its all gonna be good in the end eh! :)

Just outputting to HD won't be enough - there will have to be increases to the Wii's GPU and memory to make the visuals look sufficiently better. the Wii HD is just a pipedream invented by an anlyst that doesn't actually get that many things right...
