Wii focused 'Wee 1st' label to showcase new titles for Nintendo's console; urination remarks all set to reappear...
When Nintendo first confirmed the final product name for 'Revolution' as 'Wii', it took weeks and weeks for the schoolboy sniggering to die down. Now of course the console is leading the way in broadening the gaming audience to the point where both Sony and Microsoft are playing catch up, and publishers are trying to work out how to appeal to the 'Nouveau Game'.
Enter Activision, which has announced a new label to launch Wii-focused titles under, called 'Wee 1ST' (cue the return of sniggering once more). Three games have so far been revealed for the initiative, Little League World Series 2008, Rapala Fishing Frenzy and Dancing with the Stars: Get Your Dance On, with Activision promising that more will be unveiled in the future.
Unveiling the new brand, and keeping a straight face in the process, Activision's Dave Oxford said, "The Wii is introducing new audiences to gaming...Clearly, the Wii's accessible controls are changing how the audience plays games and how we look at game design. This initiative is designed to showcase games that take full advantage of the Wii's capabilities."
TVG wonders how long it'll take for the sniggering to die down again...

Yeah, apparently Ninty are working on a new console with graphics to match PS3/60, and motion controllers/games are being created by PS3/60, so its all gonna be good in the end eh! :)

Just outputting to HD won't be enough - there will have to be increases to the Wii's GPU and memory to make the visuals look sufficiently better. the Wii HD is just a pipedream invented by an anlyst that doesn't actually get that many things right...
