NoA's George Harrison talks about the Revolution, whilst developers purportedly get ready to show their wares...
In a revealing interview with Nintendo of America's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communication, George Harrison, Game Informer has blown open some of the secrecy surrounding the Revolution.
Comments from Harrison suggest Nintendo have learnt the importance of a console's first year, and that the Revolution would launch before the end of 2006 to ensure nobody has a significant head start.
Unlike the GameCube Harrison promises that the Revolution won't have a "dry period" after launch, claiming that it's crucial to have strong support during the first 6-9 months after the platform's launch.
Finally Harrison confirmed that around 20 titles will be available for the Revolution's launch, a third of which will be developed by Nintendo.
Further Revolution information stemming from the US suggests that publishers and developers will soon be allowed to talk about their titles, with an alleged NDA preventing such disclosures ending on April 20th.

It doesn't matter how good the Wii console is, all the games are rubbish.
family bowling
Family fishing
Family execise
Family necrophilia
There is no point improving the console unless they sort the games out

Yeah, apparently Ninty are working on a new console with graphics to match PS3/60, and motion controllers/games are being created by PS3/60, so its all gonna be good in the end eh! :)

I really would like to see a Nintendo console with HD support. It's the standard, they really do need to catch up.

Information doesn't drop from the trees I'm afraid...

Just outputting to HD won't be enough - there will have to be increases to the Wii's GPU and memory to make the visuals look sufficiently better. the Wii HD is just a pipedream invented by an anlyst that doesn't actually get that many things right...
