The must have gaming product for 2009, Nintendo's DSi, will be released in Europe on April 3rd...
Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing the next iteration of its DS handheld console on April 3rd in Europe. The DSi will set UK gamers back £149.99 at retail and will be available in white and black colours.
This new handheld will come to Europe two days earlier than the US, where the system is expected to launch on April 5th. According to an MCV report, Nintendo UK is confident that the DSi won't experience hardware shortages at retail, as was the case for the system in Japan where demand far outstripped supply.
"Production is at a comfortable level and stock availability will be consistent and steady, which is important for a product like this," said David Yarnton, the General Manager of Nintendo UK.
The DSi will offer larger dual-screens, an SD card slot, and no less than two webcams on a frame that's 2.6mm thinner than its DS Lite counterpart. Just be preapred for large crowds and 'sold out' disappointments if you want to get one on the day of release.
