In a joint statement, Nintendo and Buffalo, which designs and develops networking systems, have today announced an expansion of a deal that further streamlines the process for Nintendo DS gamers. The two companies have already worked together on the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector, which allows DS owners to connect to Nintendoâs Wi-Fi Connection and play multiplayer games such as Mario Kart DS and Tony Hawks American S8land.
The new deal means that Nintendo DS users can now connect to a Buffalo AOSS compatible device (such as a Buffalo AirStation access point) just by pressing the AOSS button in the gameâs network configuration menu.
"Nintendo has always been known as an innovator. By implementing Buffalo's AOSS technology into its Nintendo DS games, Nintendo is continuing on its mission to innovate while joining Buffalo in its effort to simplify the digital home," stated Morikazu Sano, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Buffalo Technology. "It is an honor to continue to work with Nintendo and offer Nintendo DS users the ultimate wireless gaming experience."
