The earlier prediction of 10 million didn't take into account the DS success throughout Europe...

Having previously reported DS global sales surpassing 10 million units Nintendo today confirmed the figure was slightly short, announcing that the figure actually stands at approximately 13 million thanks to accounted European figures.

Since the DS first tantalised European gamers with its two screens and touch control Nintendo has shifted close to 3.5 million units, making it the undeniable handheld of choice and with a strong line-up during the forthcoming months DS owners have a lot to look forward to.
