Nintendo has supercharged its E3 presentation by announcing New Super Mario Bros. Wii straight off the bat, which is due out on the home console at the end of the year.
The focus is on multiplayer gaming, with up to 4 players being able to get involved at one time and a gameplay choice of either co-operating with other players or just trying to steal all the coins for yourself.
The Super MArio Bros are heading to Wii, along with a couple of toads...
Players can choose between the Mario bros along with two Toads. Plenty of characters from the Mushroom Kingdom will feature in the game, along with a starring role for Yoshi.
Certain sections of the title will use the motion abilties of the Wii Remote, such as weighing down a seesaw to reach a higher platform. The first demonstration revealed the all-new Propeller suit, which shoots characters high into the sky with a shake of the Wii Remote. Mario will also be able to transform into Penguin Mario.
The competitive edge is rounded off by the fact that the stage is ended when the first player jumps onto the old-school flagpole.
