If you're one of the few people not inspired by the change in the forthcoming Need for Speed: Shift, then news of two new DLC packages for Need for Speed: Undercover is likely to be
The first package, Challenge Series, is available for free and introduces 60 new challenges across two new game modes: Highway Wars promises to blend Highway Battles and Sprint Racing, with players racing through congested highways against three AI opponents to become first across the line. Highway Checkpoint is a race against time to make the next checkpoint before the timer runs out.
Three new vehicles are included in the Challenge Series DLC, each specifically tuned to compete against the top cars in the game:

- Speed Machine Porsche 911 GT2 with matte black paint and custom gold liveries will be awarded after completing all 60 of the Challenge Series events.
- Dominator Corvette Z06 is for players that dominate a minimum of 31 events.
The Boss Car Pack costs 400 Microsoft Points or $5.00, and gives players access to the entire fleet of boss vehicles featured in the game, which includes:
- Carmen's Shelby GT500
- Chase's BMW M6
- Chau Wu's Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG
- G-Mac's Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Each pack is now available on the PlayStation Store with a release across Xbox Live Marketplace and online PC channels to follow shortly after.

need for speed need to go back to its real roots of old school days... track & field, high stakes, hot pursuit ... hotpursuit 2, porsche unleased, underground type racing. underground would be slamming if EA add cops in it. even a up-grade high stakes would be super!!!

Here are some quotes from GamePro magazine, who gave NFS: Undercover a 2.5/5
"Break out your trench coat, baseball hat, and a pair of dark shades because donning a disguise is the only way to save face if you plan on picking up Need for Speed: Undercover."
"You'll want to go incognito in order to hide the fact you're buying the worst installment in this long-running racing series. "
"Friends don't let friends play Need for Speed: Undercover.
"Too bad the gaming equivalent of AAA doesn't exist; that way, if you're unlucky enough to buy this game, you could get a little roadside assistance"
