The Japanese car manufacturer teams up with EA to reveal the new 370Z...

Following on from a similar deal between Citroen and Gran Turismo, Electronic Arts has today confirmed that the new Nissan 370Z will be making an appearance in Need for Speed Undercover.

Due to arrive across North America on November18th, the latest Need for Speed will feature the new model the day before the 370Z makes its unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show.  The European release of Undercover is due on November 21st.

“For the past 15 years, Need for Speed has helped define contemporary automotive culture by bridging the gap between gamers and the world’s hottest cars. As such, we are very excited to partner with one of the automotive powerhouses today to exclusively reveal the all-new Nissan Z,” said Keith Munro, Vice President of Marketing at Electronic Arts. “Need for Speed is about style, fast-paced action and power; this is definitely a car made for Need for Speed fans. Come November, they’ll be able to test drive the all-new 370Z in the game before the car is released on the market.”

“Our relationship with EA has been instrumental in bringing the Nissan brand to a passionate and unique audience,” says Christian Meunier, Vice President, Nissan Marketing. “By launching the all-new 2009 Nissan Z first through Need for Speed Undercover, we also gain the spirit and energy that EA gamers experience so strongly. Together with EA, we have truly integrated the all-new 370Z in the overall game experience in a meaningful, multi-layered and profound way.”

Need for Speed Undercover will be released across all formats.

need for speed need to go back to its real roots  of old school days... track & field, high stakes, hot pursuit ... hotpursuit 2, porsche unleased,  underground type racing.   underground would be slamming  if EA add cops in it.   even a up-grade high stakes would be super!!!

Here are some quotes from GamePro magazine, who gave NFS: Undercover a 2.5/5

"Break out your trench coat, baseball hat, and a pair of dark shades because donning a disguise is the only way to save face if you plan on picking up Need for Speed: Undercover."

"You'll want to go incognito in order to hide the fact you're buying the worst installment in this long-running racing series. "

"Friends don't let friends play Need for Speed: Undercover.

"Too bad the gaming equivalent of AAA doesn't exist; that way, if you're unlucky enough to buy this game, you could get a little roadside assistance"
