PSP Game Sharing feature finally revealed, allowing sample games to be downloaded to another PSP…
In a revealing update to Namco Museum, the Japanese publisher and developer today revealed specific details on what the â??Game Sharingâ? feature has to offer on the PSP.
As widely expected, the feature bears a close similarity to that featured on the Nintendo DS (and before that the GameBoy Advance) by allowing a game to be downloaded onto a second PSP unit without the need for an addition game UMD.
In the case of Namco Museum the second unit will be able to download up to 7 mini-games, including Ms. PacMan, Rally-X, Dig-Dug and many others. Simply by activating the â??Game Sharingâ? on the host PSP, the transfer automatically begins when it receives a request from a second unit, which are then stored in the unitâ??s RAM until the PSP is turned off.
Itâ??s not yet known whether youâ??ll be able to engage in multiplayer using this technique, although given the benefits weâ??d fully expect this to be the case.
