EA Confirms NBA Street For Next-Gen News

The street-based basketball series is returning in 2007; Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 debuts for Street franchise...

Electronic Arts has today confirmed the return of the NBA Street series in 2007, which will be the first in the company's Street sports series to make an appearance on the next-gen systems.

Confirming the 3-on-3 basketball title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation3, Wil Mozell, Executive Producer on the game, commented, "Since its unveiling in 2001, NBA STREET has always raised the bar with innovative gameplay and fresh visuals...The power of the Next Generation hardware gives us the horsepower to break new ground for consumers, making it the perfect stage for the next iteration of NBA STREET. Casual gamers and sports fans can still expect 'easy to pick-up and difficult to master' gameplay, with progressive visuals and some of the biggest gameplay moments in action sports."

Currently in development at EA's Canada studio, NBA Street 4 will be released during Spring 2007.
