Sony Computer Entertainment Europe confirm the long-rumoured handheld editions of the PS3 brands...
Long rumoured, PSP versions of LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm have today been confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Causing ecological damage will be MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, taking the arcade racer to an all new latitude in 2009. In development at BigBig Studios, the handheld outshoot of MotorStorm's Evolution Studios, Arctic Edge will include six classes of vehicles, new vehicles (the snowcat and snow machine), together with a single-player campaign and online multiplayer for up to eight players over Ad Hoc and Infrastructure modes. The game will also get a home console release on PlayStation 2.
Despite some details for MotorStorm Arctic Edge, Sackboy's debut on the PSP in LittleBigPlanet PSP is being kept very much under wraps. Both titles will be joined this year by a new title in the Buzz! series, Buzz! Brain.
“There are a lot of big claims in the gaming industry but we’re confident when we say that 2009 is going to be an exciting year for PSP,” said Mark Hardy, European Marketing Director, SCEE. “Our fans have demanded big PSP titles and this year, we’re going to deliver again and again. With Resistance: Retribution, already on its way to stores, PSP gamers are going to get one big franchise after another.”
Both MotorStorm and LittleBigPlanet had been rumoured to be making the jump to the beleaguered PSP platform during 2008.
