Ed Boon Tweets Next Mortal Kombat Details News

Although uncertainty continues to surround the future of Midway, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has begun to set the wheels in motion surrounding the next Mortal Kombat title.

Following last year's super-hero outing, Ed Boon confirms that the next Mortal Kombat title will return to its roots, gunning for a 'Mature' rating instead of the 'T for Teen' granted to Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

"People want an M-rated MK....dammit we will give them an M-rated MK."

Confirming that the team are currently motion-capturing fatality moves, Boon tweets that they're aiming for extreme special moves but not far enough to become an AO (Adult Only) rated title.

"Yea....I dont know where the line is to make MK an AO rated game. But we definitely dont want to kross it."
