According to Nintendo sales figures at the end of the last fiscal year, Nintendo's Brain Training games had sold almost 24 million units worldwide since release, so you'd expect the Japanese games giant to keep releasing sequels until the sales dry out, right?
Apparently not, according to Nintendo UK's Marketing Director Dawn Paine, who told MCV in this week's issue, "Given that both titles continue to perform well, there are no plans for any more titles in the series."
Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (released in June 2006 with 12.98 million lifetime sales as of last March) and More Brain Training (released a year later with 10.83 million sales) have been two of the most successful titles on Nintendo's DS. Only Nintendogs, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and New Super Mario Bros. have outsold each Brain Training game.
