Reports suggest that no special editions of Modern Warfare 2 will be available for PC gamers...
We already know that Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition is only being released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but now apparent confirmation has surfaced that the game's Hardened Edition is also limited to home console versions and won't be released for PC.
This news comes from Big Download, which claims to have confirmation on the issue from an Activision rep. None of the major UK retailers are currently listing the Hardened Edition for the PC platform, which suggests that the news is accurate.
We've sought confirmation from Activision on the issue and asked for an official comment as to why PC gamers won't have any special edition options for MW2. If they get back to us, we'll update you as quickly as our blistered typing hands can allow.

its pathetic, that scene didnt really affect me because i knew it was just a gameand wasnt real, i wasnt shooting reall people and its something that games have never and probably never will do again

It's a bit unclear in Bowling's post, but he seems to be suggesting that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 sold more units (rather than revenue generated) in like-for-like first week sales compared to CoD4.

Here's a relevant question; by outsold do they mean number of copies sold, or by revenue generated becuase MW2 is 33% more expensive than COD4 for PC, which would explain why MW2 "outsold" COD4. I have a sneaky suspicion that Robert Bowling is trying to prove something to PC gamer's.

That's a bit sexist. I'm male and couldn't actually bring myself to shoot any of the civlians. I know another guy who started shooting and then immediately stopped himself because itt was all a bit too harrowing.

hated the airport scene i tried to kill the terrorists but they just shot me. i ended up skipping the mission.too real looking.if your intention was to shock then it worked.i suspect the male gamers would have no problem killing innocent civilians. thank you AL.DIVA(gamer tag)
