Robert Bowling confirms a vague release window of spring 2010 for Modern Warfare 2's first portion of DLC...
Just as an energy drink manufacturer foresaw earlier this year, Infinity Ward is planning to release the initial portion of DLC for Modern Warfare 2 during the spring of next year, according to a Twitter post from IW's Director of Communications, Robert Bowling.
"DLC is planned for the wonderfully vague timeframe of spring," Bowling Tweeted. "I'll let you know when we know when it'll be done."
Two instalments of DLC are planned for the game as Xbox 360 exclusives, so presumably this Tweet refers to the first of them, although it's also possible that both may arrive at the same time.
This news comes at the same time as a financial analyst has predicted that the DLC could generate up to $140 million (£85 million) for Activision next year. "We estimate that Activison will generate at least $100-$140 million in gross revenue from Call of Duty DLC in 2010," said Broadpoint AmTech analyst, Ben Schachter according to Industry Gamers.
In other Modern warfare 2 news, a playlist update was added to the game's online multiplayer yesterday. The update introduces, "Hardcore Ricochet: HQ Pro & adding more maps to the rotation of the Free-for-All playlist," according to Bowling.
