UK newspaper leads outrage against controversial terrorist scenes in Modern Warfare 2...

On the eve of its release, The Daily Mail has expressed its outrage at scenes in Modern Warfare 2 that allow the player to target civilians in an airport in order to infiltrate the ranks of the terrorist organisation.

No stranger to controversial video games, Keith Vaz Labour MP for Leicester East, promised to raise his concerns during parliament today.

"I am absolutely shocked by the level of violence in this game and am particularly concerned about how realistic the game itself looks," Vaz told The Daily Mail.

It's a bit unclear in Bowling's post, but he seems to be suggesting that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 sold more units (rather than revenue generated) in like-for-like first week sales compared to CoD4.

Here's a relevant question; by outsold do they mean number of copies sold, or by revenue generated becuase MW2 is 33% more expensive than COD4 for PC, which would explain why MW2 "outsold" COD4. I have a sneaky suspicion that Robert Bowling is trying to prove something to PC gamer's.

That's a bit sexist. I'm male and couldn't actually bring myself to shoot any of the civlians. I know another guy who started shooting and then immediately stopped himself because itt was all a bit too harrowing.

hated the airport scene i tried to kill the terrorists but they just shot me. i ended up skipping the mission.too real  looking.if your intention was to shock then it worked.i suspect the male gamers would have no problem killing innocent civilians. thank you AL.DIVA(gamer tag)
