Activision doubles the price hike of its Standard Edition with a £69.99 RRP for the Hardened Edition...
Major retail outlets in the UK including Amazon, Play, Zavvi, and HMV are currently listing a £69.99 RRP for the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 2, which is £10 higher than the typical RRP for a collector's edition game.
This doubles the price hike of Modern Warfare 2's Standard Edition, which Activision has confirmed as £54.99 for the UK market. Despite claims that this rise in prices is down to a weak pound, industry analyst Michael Pachter has today dismissed these suggestions by pointing out that the pound is stronger today than it was when CoD5 launched.
So, what do you get in the Hardened Edition for your extra cash? The answer is nothing that wouldn't be included in a standard CE: an art book and a code to download the original Call of Duty from Xbox Live/PSN, all wrapped in the obligatory SteelBook casing.

It's a bit unclear in Bowling's post, but he seems to be suggesting that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 sold more units (rather than revenue generated) in like-for-like first week sales compared to CoD4.

Here's a relevant question; by outsold do they mean number of copies sold, or by revenue generated becuase MW2 is 33% more expensive than COD4 for PC, which would explain why MW2 "outsold" COD4. I have a sneaky suspicion that Robert Bowling is trying to prove something to PC gamer's.

That's a bit sexist. I'm male and couldn't actually bring myself to shoot any of the civlians. I know another guy who started shooting and then immediately stopped himself because itt was all a bit too harrowing.

hated the airport scene i tried to kill the terrorists but they just shot me. i ended up skipping the mission.too real looking.if your intention was to shock then it worked.i suspect the male gamers would have no problem killing innocent civilians. thank you AL.DIVA(gamer tag)
