Activision and Infinity Ward reveal a November 10th release date for Modern Warfare 2...
In a competition for the least surprising news of the year, this announcement (albeit by way of a teaser trailer) has got to be a strong favourite: Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on November 10th of this year.
Although that's a US release date, we're fairly confident that it will be coming to Europe in the same week, effectively giving the game a November 13th release date in the territory.
Call of Duty releases have become synonymous with the month of November in recent years, with the last three games all being launched in that window.
While the teaser trailer seems to hint at more terrorism based plotlines for this sequel, one noteworthy element is the lack of a Call of Duty logo anywhere in the trailer, with only the Modern Warfare 2 logo appearing at the end. Has Activision decided to divide the Modern Warfare and Call of Duty franchises up? Only time will tell...

its pathetic, that scene didnt really affect me because i knew it was just a gameand wasnt real, i wasnt shooting reall people and its something that games have never and probably never will do again

It's a bit unclear in Bowling's post, but he seems to be suggesting that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 sold more units (rather than revenue generated) in like-for-like first week sales compared to CoD4.

Here's a relevant question; by outsold do they mean number of copies sold, or by revenue generated becuase MW2 is 33% more expensive than COD4 for PC, which would explain why MW2 "outsold" COD4. I have a sneaky suspicion that Robert Bowling is trying to prove something to PC gamer's.

That's a bit sexist. I'm male and couldn't actually bring myself to shoot any of the civlians. I know another guy who started shooting and then immediately stopped himself because itt was all a bit too harrowing.

hated the airport scene i tried to kill the terrorists but they just shot me. i ended up skipping the mission.too real looking.if your intention was to shock then it worked.i suspect the male gamers would have no problem killing innocent civilians. thank you AL.DIVA(gamer tag)
