The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 posts stronger sales in its first week on the market than CoD4 managed in 2007...
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has revealed that week one sales for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 have surpassed the mark set by the original Modern Warfare for PC in 2007. This is despite the lack of dedicated servers and a restricted player limit in the sequel.
"The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in its first week. Making it the most successful PC version," Bowling explained on the Infinity Ward forums.
Modern Warfare 2's PC version has been marred in controversy ever since it became apparent that the game was set to ship without support for dedicated servers and have a lower player limit than its predecessor.
An IWNet matchmaking service has now replaced the setup from the first game, which effectively brings the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 in-line with the console SKUs by enforcing an 18 player limit for multiplayer games through a unified online platform.

Still moaning about xbox/ps3 being better! Acting big and hard by swearing all the time.

This article is a joke, right? I live in Hollywood with cable fastest road runner service they got. I lag about 80% of the time I play. The other 20% results in no connection or kicked out of a game due to connection. IWNet is the biggest joke I've ever seen. P2P is a complete failure. If you want more people to buy the next expansion, don't stick with your stupid IWNet idea because you'll have at least one less customer for sure.

this isnt true. the xbox sucks. its to laggy and all the live players do is camp. y dont all the xbox players grow a pair and get a ps3. try ur skills with run and gunners. the dlc will be released on both consoles at the same time. this is just stupid that someone out there decided that they were going to start a dumb rumor like this.
