Activision reveals day one sales revenues of $310 million across the US and UK for Modern Warfare 2...
Following Chart Track's decision yesterday to reveal day one sales for Modern Warfare 2 in the UK, Activision has now announced that the game has shifted a total of 4.7 million units across the US and UK in its first day of sales, grossing a total of $310 million (£187 million) in sales.
According to Activision figures, that makes Modern Warfare 2 the "biggest entertainment launch in history," beating out rivals such as Microsoft's Halo 3 and Columbia Pictures' Spider-Man 3 to the record.
"The Call of Duty franchise has become a cultural phenomenon showing the power of video games as an entertainment medium," said Mike Griffith, CEO, Activision Publishing Inc. "The shattering of these entertainment records is a testament to the compelling, cinematic and uniquely engaging experience that the Call of Duty brand delivers. Modern Warfare 2 has taken interactive experience to unprecedented heights setting a new standard for entertainment."

its an 18 asthats the age teens turn into adults or at least thats what the law says however as most 18 yearolds dont behave in a mature manner thses days i could well see this going up to 21 like in america.
