Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling states that community feedback will determine how many MW2 map packs are made...
Fresh off his confirmation that 50 Cent will be in Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward's sounding board, Robert Bowling has stated that community feedback will determine exactly how many map packs are made for MW2.
"As far as DLC goes, we love it and plan to support Modern Warfare 2 heavily with post-launch support," Bowling told MTV Multiplayer. "We've confirmed we'll be doing AT LEAST two map packs which were announced at E3 as a timed exclusive for Xbox 360. The fact that we confirmed at least two map packs doesn't mean there won't be more; honestly we plan on shaping our DLC based on community feedback from the full game, and first two DLC map packs. Therefore, the community will really determine what comes after that."
Activision CEO, Mike Griffith restated Activision's intentions to release two portions of map pack DLC for MW2 in a post-earnings conference call last week.
"We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title. Map packs help extend the shelf life of the franchise, as evidenced by the strong catalogue sales and premium pricing that we maintained a year and a half after launch," said Griffith.
Still, we can't see Activision complaining at the possibility of more DLC map packs, what with Treyarch recently releasing the third portion of DLC for CoD: World at War.
