EA confirms that it has an agreement with Sony to deliver exclusive DLC for Mirror's Edge on PS3...
It may not be the timed exclusive for PS3 that some outlets had reported last month, but owners of Sony's next-gen beast will be glad to hear that at least some portion of exclusivity will be guaranteed with a PS3 copy of Mirror's Edge.
EA has now confirmed that there will be exclusive downloadable content for Mirror's Edge that will only appear on the PlayStation Network. However, the publisher was also quick to dismiss suggestions that the game will be a timed exclusive on PS3 after German site heise online quoted SCEE's President, David Reeves, to that effect last month.
"There was a misunderstanding in terms of the quote that Mirror's Edge is to be a timed exclusive on PS3," an EA Spokesperson told Eurogamer, although the publisher did state that there is a deal of sorts in place with Sony:
"PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title," the Spokesperson continued before adding, "Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."
