Electronic Arts has today confirmed that Digital Illusions' Mirror's Edge will be launching across the UK from November 14th on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with the PC edition arriving 'later in the winter'.

A demo for the original brand will also head to Xbox Live and PlayStation Network before the game's launch, with gamers who pre-order the title receiving a code to unlock a special time trial mode in the demo.

Confirming the release date, Owen O'Brien, Senior Producer at development studio, DICE, commented:

"Mirror's Edge is bringing something new to the action-adventure genre this holiday by putting the player in the shoes of the hero, seeing what she sees, feeling what she feels...We wanted to create an entirely new experience, with a different type of heroine and a world that not only looks fresh and new but has unique gameplay."
