Ubisoft announces Might & Magic: Heroes VI for a 2011 release on the PC platform...
Ubisoft has announced at Gamescom that it plans to release Might & Magic: Heroes VI for PC next year, when the game will take on a story that starts 400 years before Heroes of Might & Magic V's plot.
It seems angels will plot to revive an unfinished war in Might & Magic: Heroes VI when an Archangel general, who was killed in the Elder races war, comes back to life. Summoning the peoples of Ashan to battle his enemies, this Archangel is bold but underestimates the power of Might & Magic's Griffin Dukes.
The series will return to its well-trodden gameplay style of turn-based strategy mixed with RPG elements, and is being developed by Black Hole Entertainment, which is a newcomer to the Might & Magic fold but has previously developed a number of RTS games including Warhammer: Mark of Chaos.
"Might & Magic is a powerful franchise with an amazing 20-year legacy," said Caroline Stevens, Brand Director at Ubisoft EMEA "Players will be able to enjoy the Heroes experience like never before. The amazing creative teams at Black Hole are keeping the original Heroes spirit, while enhancing the RPG elements of the game."
