Midnight Nowhere, coming from Eastern block developers Saturn +, is a dark and moody, near the knuckle, in some parts, foul mouthed, very atmospheric, 3D, point, click, read and react adventure game that starts off in a morgue with cadavers and moves along a twisty line of red herrings, murders and some devious puzzle sussing! Is that what youâ??re looking for?

Although Midnight Nowhere hardly pulls any real punches or surprises, the 60 environments come with fine animation and detailed graphics, along with a strong story line that many adventure gamers will find pleasing but very much of the old school. If we were to say some of the topics that are moved through are strictly X-rated with splashes of gore and horror then there are quite a few gamers that may pick up the gauntlet and look further into this offering!

Although a number of technical glitches are apparent that are alleviated by the games strong challenge and the compelling nature of wanting to go the extra mile to see what other barbaric events may unfold!

Although adventure games may be low down everyoneâ??s list, and this in no way can compare to a LucasArts offering in terms of sophistication and exploring new channels, it does make use of the almost bare and gloomy surroundings to conjure up a feeling of despair.

Some taxing puzzles and good use of sound make this a slightly above average game although donâ??t expect anything startling on the presentation front. Itâ??s the plotline, coupled with one or two shockers that drive Midnight Nowhere!
