South Central LA heading to the open-world racer in mid-March...
Rockstar Games has today confirmed that the Midnight Club: Los Angeles downloadable content, South Central, will be released on March 12th for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The DLC, which was first unveiled in December 2008, expands the map of the original game by one-third, adding four additional neighbourhoods to the open-world racer. Two packs will be released, the first “South Central Map Expansion” will just include the new map.
The other, the “South Central Premium Upgrade” includes nine new vehicles (2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG “Black”, 2008 Range Rover Supercharged, 2008 Range Rover Sport Super Charged, 1955 Chevy Bel Air, 1963 Buick Riviera, 1964 Chevy Impala, 1965 Chevy Malibu, 1970 Chevy Chevelle, and 1966 Pontiac GTO), over two dozen races, and new parts to further customise your rides.
Describing South Central when the DLC was first announced, Jay Panek, Midnight Club Producer at Rockstar San Diego, commented: "This downloadable content hones in on a very iconic area of Los Angeles...This South Central download features staples of the area, from the landmarks to the types of cars, and we think it really helps enhance the overall L.A. feel we set out to recreate."
The South Central DLC will cost 800 Microsoft Points and $9.99 (in the US).
