Miami Crisis will make a splash on DS when the action puzzler is released on the platform this September...
Japanese publisher Konami has announced a new title for DS, Miami Crisis, which is due for release on the handheld this coming September and is set to offer a blend of action and puzzle solving gameplay.
Players will take control of two characters in the game: a hard-nosed Miami PD officer called Martin Law (kudos on the surname, Konami) and the bloodhound-like crime solving nose of FBI agent Sara Starling.
Playing as Starling, gamers will indulge in various puzzle solving games to uncover clues, while Law's gameplay serves up Miami Crisis' brawn, bringing the Hollywood action highs of car chases and shoot-outs to the fore.
Under development at veteran Japanese studio Hudson Soft, Miami Crisis will follow Starling and Law as they attempt to uncover a "shadowy terrorist conspiracy" and Konami ensures us that "their successes and failures along the way will have an ongoing affect on the plot". Whether this simply means that the story will unravel, as most stories do, or that there will be tangential story arcs, is unclear at this point.
