US reports suggest that we won’t have to wait eight years for another sequel.

Metroid fans are used to waiting a long time for their games, it’s over eight years since we last saw Samus in action in the subliminal Super Metroid. However news coming from America suggests that we won’t have to wait so long for a sequel to the forthcoming GameCube adventure Metroid Prime.<br><br>An alleged source from Retro Studios – the team behind Metroid Prime – hints that a new game is already underway, and being suggested as they key title to go up against Halo 2. Pre-orders and interest from the US suggest that Metroid Prime will literally fly off the shelves when it’s released on November 18th, unfortunately we’ve got awhile to wait before we see the game, as Nintendo have currently earmarked a March release for Metroid Prime in Europe.<br><br>If we hear anything else we’ll be sure to keep you posted.<br>
