What a difference two years makes, when it was first announced that Retro Studios would be taking care of Metroid on the GameCube you could hear the collective groan of a legion of Samus fans worldwide. Worse was still to come as it was announced that Samus next adventure would take place in a FPS, what was happening? <br /> <br /> Well we’re glad to be wrong as Metroid Prime is shaping up to be one of the best games on the GameCube offering its finest hour yet in terms of visuals, and arguably the first FPS geared towards the console market with a control system different to the norm and making use of a similar technique to Z-Targeting. <br /> <br /> We’ve played Metroid Prime and want to play it again, it’s a shame that we won’t see the game until 2003, however let me just assure you it’s a good time to be a Nintendo fan… <br />
