We unravel the mystery behind Samus new adventures on the GameCube + GameBoy Advance...

Further details of Samus’ new adventures on the GameBoy Advance emerged today. Metroid fans have speculated wildly since Fusion was first unveiled at E3, Is that Samus? What’s up with her new suit? When is the game set?

All these questions have finally been answered…

The game is set straight after the SNES title Super Metoid, after eliminating the Metroid threat on planet SR388 a strange parasite known as the X Parasite emerges to take over the planet by living in the dead creatures that populate it. Unfortunately for Samus, the parasite attacked her whilst she was trying to escape, penetrating her suit and invading her central nervous system. To save her life, Samus suit had to be disassembled, hence the new suit, however the parasite is still in her, and so she sets off to discover who is behind the parasite by returning to SR388.

With the news that Metroid Fusion will link up with the GameCube title Metroid Prime, we have to question what conflictions this will impose on the storylines, Samus is wearing her traditional suit in Metroid Prime, so is this adventure set before the SNES outing???

So like an episode of the X-Files one answer brings a whole new set of questions, we’ll keep you posted on all the latest developments.

Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion are both due for release on November 20th…
