For the handful of gamers who still reminisce over the good old days, Ignition Entertainment today announced an autumn European release for Metal Slug 7 on the Nintendo DS.

Joining the hallowed ranks shared by the likes of Police Academy, Metal Slug 7 is the first title in the once popular run-and-gun series not to be a conversion of an arcade original.

Ralf Jones and Clark Steel make a return from Metal Slug 6, joining the established cast that includes Marco, Fio, Tarma, and Eri as they fight against General Morden across 7 missions. A host of new weapons await along with the promise of the biggest and baddest SLUG vehicle to date.
