Japanese magazine publishes the first images of `Snake` in Metal Gear Solid 4..
This isnâ??t something that weâ??d normally do at TVG, but quite frankly the shock seeing the scans from the recent issue of Famtisu magazine has left us with no choice â?“ so hereâ??s a scan. It appears that â??Snakeâ?? in Metal Gear Solid 4 (currently in development at Hideo Kojimaâ??s Kojima Productions for PlayStation3) is an old man, with grey hair and white moustache.
One detail that is there for all to be seen is the addition of an eyepatch â?“ could this be some sort of visual aid for motion detection, thermal imaging, or electromagnetic fields? Or is MGS4 â??Snakeâ?? Big Boss with the patch acting as a virtual eye? He was supposed to have died at the end of Metal Gear 2, but did he REALLY? Also, why bother with the hassle of HALO jumps when presumably Snake's eligible for a free bus-pass instead?
On a more serious note, the 'Snake' of the scan does appear to bare an uncanny resemblance to Solidus Snake (distinct lack of a left eye and relative age), though it has been assumed that the character died at the end of Metal Gear Solid 2.
At the moment Konami are staying quiet ahead of the Tokyo Game Show at the end of week, where the company will present the first proper trailer for the PS3 title. Weâ??ll have news on MGS4 very soonâ?¦

this score of 8/10 is so nonsense. Care to explain why 8/10 while the avarage breakdown score says it's 9 ?

As much as I'd like to play this on the Xbox 360 I won't put too much trust in these until I see an official announcement. Even still, judging by what he said in the article, they could simply put it on the PC.
People that are saying he would not put it on the Xbox should realize that Metal Gear Solid 2 was on the Xbox. I wouldn't rule it out completely. Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 were both on the PC however.

Forget the fact it's an April Fool's prank - that vid is awesome and I'd like a Campbell expansion pack right now.
