Konami confirms a European release date for the Metal Gear Solid Database, released in Japan and the US last week...
After being released in Japan and America last week, Konami has now confirmed a European release date for the Metal Gear Solid Database on PSN. The free service will go live via the PlayStation Store on June 26th.
We were beginning to get worried that Europe wouldn't be getting the service when it was released in the Japanese and US territories last week without a flicker in Europe. However, Konami has calmed our fears by offering the exact same service over here only a week later (pretty impressive when you think about all the different languages they'll have to translate MGS' rich history into).
The Database charts the history of the MGS series from its 1987 beginnings and the service has been split into three hubs: the GENE hub is a glossary, MEME charts the relationship between the series' many characters, and SCENE is a timeline of the events in the MGS universe.
In order to guard against plot spoilers, the Database blocks out information pertaining to MGS4 until it detects a save file confirming that the user has completed the game - nifty!

As much as I'd like to play this on the Xbox 360 I won't put too much trust in these until I see an official announcement. Even still, judging by what he said in the article, they could simply put it on the PC.
People that are saying he would not put it on the Xbox should realize that Metal Gear Solid 2 was on the Xbox. I wouldn't rule it out completely. Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 were both on the PC however.
