Konami Confirms MGS4 Voice Cast News

Hayter, Flynn, Eiding, Randolph, and Zimmerman return for Kojima's hugely anticipated PS3 opus...

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

With the recent launch of the PlayStation3, the focus on Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to provide the defining killer-app is even more apparent. Although details on the title have been thin on the ground recently with Kojima-san and his team working hard on the title, Konami today shared some further light with confirmation of the voice cast.

Unsurprisingly, David Hayter reprises his role as the protagonist, but will have to provide a different portrayal this time around to capture the ageing and exhausted Solid Snake. Joining Hayter, voice actors Quinton Flynn, Paul Eiding and Christopher Randolph will also return as the voices of Raiden, Roy Campbell and Hal 'Otacon' Emmerich, respectively. Long-term collaborator, Kris Zimmerman, will direct the voice acting sessions, from a script penned by Hideo Kojima and Shuyo Murata.

"I couldn't be more excited about this game. What I've seen of Metal Gear Solid 4 has absolutely blown me away. To bring the focus of the story back to Solid Snake, and to work with Kris Zimmerman and many of the amazing actors that provided iconic voices for the previous games, is like coming home," said David Hayter. "I'm so proud and grateful to have been involved with Mr. Kojima on this legendary video game series for nearly a decade. This game is going to plunge players into the ultimate Metal Gear Solid experience. And personally, I can't wait to play it."

As much as I'd like to play this on the Xbox 360 I won't put too much trust in these until I see an official announcement. Even still, judging by what he said in the article, they could simply put it on the PC.

People that are saying he would not put it on the Xbox should realize that Metal Gear Solid 2 was on the Xbox. I wouldn't rule it out completely. Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 were both on the PC however.

Forget the fact it's an April Fool's prank - that vid is awesome and I'd like a Campbell expansion pack right now.

Everyone should understand that MGS4 won't come to Xbox Kojima has enough money and he doesn't need sell the game to Microdoft which is a American company. Americans used the atom bomb so I don't think he 'd do it. BTW He already announced there wont be MGS4 for xbox
