Konami Confirms MGO Meme Expansion Date & Details News

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Konami has confirmed details and a November 25th release date for the latest downloadable Metal Gear Online expansion. The Meme Expansion adds both Liquid Ocelot and Mei Ling to the fold, along with a handful of new maps, and various tweaks.

Ocelot benefits from his ability to manipulate the Sons of the Patriots' lock system and can deactivate weaponry in the multiplayer mode. Alternatively, Mei Ling introduces three unique abilities, including the Trench Mortar weapon, Soliton Sonar capabilities, and the means to transfix her opponents.

The expansion also introduces three new maps to the list, including the rough, uneven industrial elements of Silo Sunset, the dense foliage of Forest Firefight and a snow-blown deserted factory called Winter Warehouse.

Finally Kojima Productions has been tinkering with a few of the rules, including a new 'No Headshot' setting, 'Stealth Death Match', and 'Interval' allowing players to practice and chat with each other on the battlefield.

The Meme expansion can be pre-purchased for 7.99 euros from November 18th, along with a bundle comprising the former Gene expansion for 12.99 euros.

Even still, judging by what he said in the article, they could simply put it on the PC. People that are saying he would not put it on the Xbox should realize that Metal Gear Solid 2 was on the Xbox. I wouldn't rule it out completely. Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 were both on the PC however.
