Reports from Japan suggest that Metal Gear for PS2 & PSP may have a few secrets to share…

With the Japanese launch of Metal Gear Solid 3 on the PlayStation2 and Metal Gear Acid on the PSP set for release in Japan, reports from the territory suggest that the titles may be the first to offer connectivity bonuses, much in the same way that Nintendo tried to promote between the GBA and GameCube.

The whisperings suggest that new camouflage designs and weapons, amongst other things, will be able to be unlocked and swapped between the two titles, although no details have been released yet by Konami.

How Sony intends to promote this cross-platform system in the future is as yet unclear, but we will keep you up-to-date with the details shortlyâ?¦
