TGS`05 - Kojima Showcases Metal Gear Titles News

With three Metal Gear titles on display at Tokyo Game Show, Kojima Productions certainly has a lot of work on its plate describing further details on PlayStation3â??s Metal Gear Solid 4, PlayStation2â??s Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence, and PSPâ??s Metal Gear Ac!d2.

Speaking about the evolution of the series in the next Metal Gear Solid title, head of Kojima Productions, Hideo Kojima said "The inner aspect is unseen and establishes the presence only through time and the volition of the playerâ?¦This will pave the way forward to a revolutionary change that will lead us away from past concepts based on 'realism' as we move towards the 'natural'."

The developer also took the opportunity to showcase the new online multiplayer capabilities of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence of PlayStation2, the first time that Snake (and friends) can battle it out through Network Play. The game will also include versions of the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, which were originally released on the MSX and Famicom/NES consoles.

Following yesterdays unveiling of the SOL!D EYE TOBIAC!D peripheral for Metal Gear Ac!d2, further details of the storyline have been revealed together with three new characters: Venus, Vince and Chaigidiel. Venus is Snakeâ??s female sidekick in the game as they try to infiltrate the corporation Strate-Logic, whilst Vince (a security guard for Strate-Logic) tries to track them down. With the ability to walk on ceilings and vertical surfaces, Chaigidiel is one of the new boss characters in MGA2.
