Not quite what we were expecting as Konami introduce a "new" peripheral for the PSP...

When news filtered through yesterday of 3D glasses support within Metal Gear Acid 2 we just werenâ??t thinking along similar lines to Konami.

Today the Japanese giant lifted the lid on the â??peripheralâ? and as you can see from the accompanying shotâ?¦ well thereâ??s not a lot more that needs to be said.

Claiming to make games and movies much more realistic by producing full-colour 3D visuals, the effect is going to have to be something special to warrant turning the sexiest console around into something so ridiculous!

The system is dubbed SOL!D EYE TOBIDAC!D, although that tag is thankfully provisional at this stage and will retail for 5299 yen (£26); weâ??ll have more on the â??Solid Eyeâ? and Metal Gear Ac!d 2 soon.
